The Timeline
This is the schedule of care — who you see, what gets measured and when. How your own body responds is a clinical question, and your provider will set realistic expectations with you at the consult rather than a web page doing it in advance.
MONTH 1
Free consult, InBody baseline scan and provider review. Your provider orders lab work, billed separately from your monthly price. If you are confirmed as a candidate you begin, and your first dose is walked through in the office rather than left to you and a leaflet.
MONTHS 2–3
Regular provider check-ins while your dose is managed, plus a monthly InBody scan. This is the stretch where the plan gets tuned to you, and the scan is what shows whether what you are losing is fat or muscle.
MONTHS 4–6
Scans and check-ins continue monthly. By now there is enough trend data to talk properly about what is working, what your habits look like around the medication, and what needs adjusting.
BEYOND
The conversation shifts from starting to sustaining — what your plan looks like long term, and what happens if you ever come off. That last part matters, and the questions below are blunt about it.
Evidence
Both medications prescribed here have been tested in large randomized, placebo-controlled trials. The results are below with the trial, dose and timeframe named — because a percentage without its study attached is marketing rather than evidence.
1,961 adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition, and without diabetes. Mean weight change at 68 weeks was −14.9% on semaglutide 2.4 mg versus −2.4% on placebo (New England Journal of Medicine, 2021).
In STEP 1, 86.4% of participants on semaglutide lost 5% or more of body weight, 69.1% lost 10% or more and 50.5% lost 15% or more — versus 31.5%, 12.0% and 4.9% on placebo.
Mean weight change at 72 weeks was −15.0% at 5 mg, −19.5% at 10 mg and −20.9% at 15 mg, versus −3.1% on placebo (New England Journal of Medicine, 2022).
In both trials the medication was given alongside lifestyle intervention, not instead of it. That is why nutrition guidance and monthly tracking are part of this program rather than an upsell on top of it.

Semaglutide vs tirzepatide — which one is right for me?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist; tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 agonist that works on two hormone pathways. Your provider recommends the better fit based on your labs, history and goals.
How fast will I see results?
Many patients notice appetite changes within the first few weeks. Individual results vary — in the STEP and SURMOUNT clinical trials, average weight loss reached roughly 15–20% of body weight over more than a year of treatment.
What are the side effects?
